At The Cottage Aquarium Company we want to protect your personal information. Whether you are shopping with us online or over the phone we want to make every customer experience safe and secure. So we have developed this Privacy Policy to tell you how we collect and use personal information.
Officially we are The Cottage Aquarium Company Ltd, a private company registered in Ontario, Canada. This policy applies to all contact you may have with us whether by phone, by email, in person or through our website www.cottageaquarium.com.

This information will include your name, your credit card number, your credit card billing address, your physical address for delivery and other information needed to process an order from you.
We use this information to take your order, process your payment, arrange delivery of the product to you and to process a refund should you ask for one in accordance with our refunds policy.
This information is used only for these purposes, is held only as long as needed to complete the process and is only passed to our service providers where needed to allow them to do part of this for us e.g. the payment and credit card processing organisation, your credit card company, the delivery company and similar.
We want you to tell us how you get on using your Cottage Aquarium and what you have done with it. So we ask for your name and email address when you register with us online and when you purchase a Cottage Aquarium or other product from us.
We use this to contact you directly about your Cottage Aquarium no more often than 4 times a year, unless you contact us first. You have the option at any time you receive an email from us to unregister your email address.
We will not give your information to anybody else unless we need to in order to carry out something that you want us to do like selling and delivering our product to you.
Your consent is implied when you provide us personal information for the uses that we have documented in this privacy policy.
Each e-mail we send you will tell you how to decline further e-mails from us.
Like many other Web sites, we automatically collect certain non-personal information regarding Web site users that does not identify you. We have retention standards that meet these requirements. We destroy your information when it is no longer needed, or we remove your personally identifiable information.
You can also request that we remove your information from our records. Subject to our requirements for continued retention of your information, for example, for billing, audit, or warranty purposes, we will make every reasonable effort to honour your request.
